For the past 3 years I’ve been kinda known as the flower girl. While I do love flowers and have built a whole business around them, my real day to day life has SOOOO many more creative passions of than just flowers.
On any given day, I’m:
I love EVERYTHING creative far beyond just flowers, and it’s been a dream of mine for over a year to start a blog so I can share alllllllllll of the things.
Once I became pregnant with our baby boy, I felt the nudge from God to start pivoting my business a little bit. I’m keeping the flowers – yes, don’t worry! But they’re also super time consuming and require two hands and my full undivided attention. I’m in a season of life where I can’t do them 16 hours a day, 7 days a week like I used to. As I type this, our little boy is in a body carrier strapped my chest while I sway back and forth and type this out on Notes on my iPhone. At some point, my husband will wake up from nightshift and I’ll be able to copy and paste it into a blog post….Our little family needs a secondary source of income that I love and can do while on the move, with one hand, while being the best mommy I can be.
Is it just about income? No, it’s not. This blog is almost a little bit more about giving me an unlimited place to dream. I’m an ennegram 3. I’ve always dreamed of doing big things, impacting someone for good, and making my life and time here on earth count. Becoming a mom has been the best thing that’s happened to me and I love it so much! But it also has its hard days – this blog is a space for me to come to play and remember who I am outside of being of mom and to hopefully help and positively impact the world around me from my little house in small town Ohio. But if you love what you see here and want to see so much of it for a good long time, purchasing directly from the links I provide will give our little family a little bit of income that allows me to keep pouring my heart and soul into this blog. It’s at no additional cost to you and it helps me know I’m spending my time wisely and in a way that’s truly benefits our little family as well.
So welcome to my dream project finally come true: The Rosewood Home. What can you expect to see from this blog? I’m glad you asked!
There are five main categories that I plan to focus on sharing:
So that’s it. That’s why I’m starting a blog. I’m so thrilled that this is finally a reality and that you’re reading this right now. A big part of me hopes as you read this that you’re excited too – I hope everything you read and see here leaves you walking away with an excited glimmer in your eyes, inspired and full of all the ideas to go do some creative thing that popped in your head as a result of your time here. So let’s do this thang together, k?
